About - St Leonard's Farmhouse

Jon, Tania and Elsie our miniature Labradoodle welcome you to St Leonard’s Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast.

St Leonards Farmhouse is an 18th Century former farmhouse with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. It is a beautifully appointed 225-year-old listed building which has retained much of its original character, charm and features. We are set 15m back from the B3082 which runs through Blandford. 5 minutes walk from the Blandford town centre, which offers many shops and restaurants, we are well situated to allow you to explore the lovely county of Dorset.
We offer two beautiful en suite king size bedrooms on the first floor. The Sett and The Den. The Drey is our single room also on the first floor and has a private luxury shower room opposite. The Holt is an en suite twin room on the ground floor overlooking the back garden. There is a beautiful garden and comfortable summer house in the garden to the rear of the property with plenty of seating for morning coffee or afternoon tea. An excellent Dorset breakfast is served in our relaxing dining room using locally sourced free range or organic produce where possible. We offer a variety of breakfast choices and cater for special dietary requirements. Please advise us on booking.

Prices are per room, based on a maximum of two people sharing, including breakfast, Wi-Fi & parking. During popular events such as RSA (Royal Signals Association) weekend and The Great Dorset Steam Fair, full payment is required in advance to secure your booking and bookings require 14 days cancellation. (Please call for prices during these events.) We are unable to accommodate children under 12 or pets.

On request, arrangements can be made to provide secure storage for bicycles, (stands provided) and garage storage for Motorbikes (Please note the gravel drive!).
Located in the beautiful and interesting Georgian town of Blandford you are only 5 minutes walk from the town center with a selection of independent gift shops, high street stores cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is a regular bus service to the larger towns of Poole, 15 miles, Bournemouth, 22 miles and Salisbury with main line station, 22 miles.

Overnight stay We booked St Leonard’s Farmhouse for a family birthday get together. Having checked the reviews, once we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. Our room with en suite was clean, warm and spacious and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Tania was a wonderful host, made us instantly feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast menu had an extensive range and all was excellent as we ate more than we normally do.It was a lovely experience and a perfect stay. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here as we would definitely use again.Tom & Rita

Wonderful B&B - one of the best! We’ve just had an absolute perfect stay at St Leonards Farmhouse. Tania was the most welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble and she was lovely to chat to. This is a beautifully kept, old farmhouse in a brilliant location, just a short walk from the town centre and shops. There is parking on the driveway.Our room was large, well decorated and immaculately clean. The bed was comfy, there was a decent sized TV, plenty of tea and coffee, fluffy towels and robes – everything to make an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was 10/10 too. There is a good choice of cereals, fruit yogurts etc to tuck into while your main breakfast is freshly cooked to order, it was all delicious. We would 100% recommend a stay here, it’s one the best B&B’s we’ve stayed in and we plan to go back later this year, especially as we found out the location means you are a short, 30 minute drive from Poole or Dorchester which means it’s a great base if you want to get out and see the area.

Perfect Stay! This B&B was a fabulous find and we won't be staying elsewhere when visiting the area again. Beautiful property, lovely room, brilliant breakfast and great hosts. Tania could not do more, and Elsie the dog was a huge hit with my wife and I! Will definitely stay again and cannot recommend enough.

Outstanding in every way Hosts were so friendly and helpful. They really couldn’t have done any more for us all. Very high cleanliness throughout the property. Wedding Tommy,Tanya & friends From when arrived until our last day it was unreal..Breakfast was fantastic & Tania& John were great hosts & nothing was problem..Rooms were spotless & plenty of tea & coffee in rooms.Outside was sun trap where u could spend morning eating breakfast or in evening having a refreshment..We could not recommend St Leanords highly enough..Will most definitely return when we visit again..John makes great breakfast….😁😁

Fabulous b&b. Strongly recommend Absolutely fabulous b&b.Very welcoming and friendly host’s on arrival and throughout the stay, Nothing was to much.House and rooms beautifully decorated and maintained 5 star.Very good Breakfast selection which would cater for all.Given some great ideas on places to visit during our stay.Will give 10 out of 10 and will be booking again A+++++++

Hospitality, relaxation, flexibility, great food and GF friendly! We booked our room for a friend's wedding three years ago. COVID happened, the wedding was postponed, twice.Jon and Tania were so flexible, moving dates in the diary to ensure we had accommodation when the wedding finally happened.St Leonard's Farmhouse was SO worth the wait!Amazing hospitality, super comfortable and beautiful room, and a delicious and relaxing breakfast.To top it all my GF wife was perfectly catered for.If you want to stay in Blandford, stay here. In fact stay here anyway!

A really lovely b and b We rarely stay in a b and b, but usually quality hotels or pubs, as we tend to want to eat where we stay. St Leonards Farmhouse exceeded all expectations, even having read the fab reviews on here. Tania and Jon are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The room we stayed in (The Sett) is spacious and beautifully appointed, with a lovely big bathroom. All the finishing touches you could think of were there. Thank you both. We will be back!
